My purpose is to help people with their family history search. I will search archives, libraries and other repositories for those who wish to know the information they hold. Family history is my passion and I want to help others find and share that same passion. I have been working on my own family history for over 20 years and have enjoyed all the work that entails. A great joy is proving the truth of a family story or finding someone who has been elusive in the search. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together brings great satisfaction and excitement as your own personal family knowledge grows.
My research has led me through Canada, Ireland, Scotland, England, Australia and New Zealand. I have enjoyed finding "cousins" around the world and meeting new people who have helped me very much with my search. I have received my Certificate in Genealogical Studies for Canada, England and Ireland at the University of Toronto / National Institutue for Genealogical Studies and have Liberal Studies and Research Techniques diplomas from Sheridan College. I am also a member of the Association of Professional Geneologists, the Ontario Genealogical Society, the Glasgow & West of Scotland Family History Society, the Genealogical Society of Ireland, as well as the Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society. |
